Western Reading Room
Reinventing Western Classics
The Salon or the “Drawing Room” is commonly the chamber off of the great room that leads to the Master or “State Bedroom”. The Salon is a place where usually the women of the home would go for privacy and the enjoyment of their domestic crafts. Most often the salon includes a long hallway, perfect for the display of the home owners private collection of artworks. In our modern interpretation, this Salon is used by both the man and the woman of the home and is decorated to suit both of their tastes. It is a place for relaxation, a morning cup of coffee, a place to read and write, a place to paint or play cards. Our Salon is comfortable and lacks formality yet does not compromise on style.
